Year 3/4 Camp Out

Sycamore Class had their own residential trip of sorts, camping out on the school field for a night. They thoroughly enjoyed it – one of them said it was ‘like having a sleepover with my entire class!’. After managing (eventually) to put up their own tents, they took part in archery, bushcraft and had a campfire before going to bed. Not a huge amount of sleep was had, with the first children waking up as dawn broke at around 4.30am!

Sports Night

Instead of a Sports Day, traditionally we have Sports Night at Wetheringsett. Parents and children come along at 6pm and children take part in an array of athletics events with a bar and BBQ for their families.

The sun shone yet again for our this year's Sports Night. It was great to see the children supporting their team mates and to see how much their athletic skills have improved with the national emphasis on school PE over the last few years.

Y5/6 Residential Trip

Chestnut Class spent a week at ‘African Adventure’ at Sizewell Hall. They took part in all sorts of activities from low ropes to bridge building but at the same time learnt about some of the issues some people in parts of Africa may face.
