Colchester Castle

Sycamore Class spent the day at Colchester Castle today as a final celebration of their Roman topic. It was amazing to see all the artifacts from 2000 years ago and we were able to go into the Roman temple vaults that the castle was built on; the very temple that Boudicca burnt to the ground during her rebellion!

Willow and Lime Class Assembly

We were treated to a lovely assembly on Friday where our youngest children shared their learning about animals. Their song (with dancing!) was a favourite bit!

Zoo Trip

Chestnut Tree Class had a wonderful time earlier this week at their trip to Banham Zoo. The trip was part of their work on animal classification. Leyton wrote this recount of the day:
We watched the otters, meerkats and penguins being fed. We had a talk on animal classification and I touched snakes, a hissing cockroach and a guinea pig. Then we played in the play park. We went to Animal Encounters and watched the giraffes being fed.
Then we went on the road train.

Gymnastics Centre Trip

Today we took the whole school to the gymnastics centre in Ipswich. Some of the children were a little nervous about going but they all had an amazing time! They thoroughly enjoyed having a go on all the proper gymnastics equipment and came back asking when they could go again!
