Native American Indian Day

On Friday, Years 5 and 6 were able to experience some of what it was like for Native American Indians when they lost their land and were put on reservations. The children dressed up and were escorted off the spacious field to the school garden. This was particularly atmospheric in the morning mist. They did craft activities and cooked over a campfire before taking part in a discussion about the nature and importance of freedom. Our thanks to all the parents (and other adults) that gave up their time to help make this such a special day.
